The 2021 season is about to kick off and Tyler Everingham is excited to only be days away from getting back behind the wheel. Everingham has returned to the MW Motorsport squad driving one of four of the teams Nissan Altima’s in the Dunlop Super 2 Series in support of the Australian Supercars Championship.
The season starts off at the iconic Mount Panorama track in Bathurst this weekend which was the location where Tyler last raced with Garry Rogers Motorsport as a Wildcard in the Bathurst 1000.
Everingham will pilot the #27 entry, the same number he ran under when he last ran with the MW Motorsport team and the number he won with at Sandown in 2019 in his Rookie season.
Tyler goes into the weekend with backing from his long-term partners Blue Ribbon Legal & Lowes Petroleum and welcomes new partner Motorhaus Garage.
“I’m just so excited to be racing at Bathurst again. I know that this wouldn’t be possible without the support of all our sponsors and to have Bue Ribbon Legal & Lowes Petroleum return as a partner with us is amazing. Our new sponsor Motorhaus Garage is a start-up business new to the market but will have a high presence in the automotive industry, they will feature in a big way on the front & rear of my car,” said Everingham.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to it this weekend,” said Everingham.
“It has been such a long time. It was great to be able to get some laps in early in the month at the test days. It gave us a chance to filter out any issues and also allowed me to get a feel for the car again before heading to Bathurst.
“Hopefully I can have a decent run this weekend and bring home some positive results for my sponsors.”
The Dunlop Super2 and Super3 fields will merge together again this weekend totalling a field of 28 cars. Two 12-lap races are on the schedule for Super2 / Super3 across Saturday and Sunday.
The Dunlop Super 2 Series are set to hit the track for practice one Friday, 26th February at 8:55am.
